A New Role

In my day to day life I serve as a high school principal. Over 12 years of my career have been dedicated to turnaround work – taking poor performing schools and guiding them to a path of success. When the crap hit the fan, I asked the remaining core team members to allow me to join the team. They welcomed me immediately. I have a chance to work with a solid team of guys; guys who want to make things right for the community.

Strategic Plan

There is no easy path to recovering lost trust and a market cap that took a 80%+ nosedive, but there wasn’t a single thought of quitting when the chaos unfolded. The Zeleboba team immediately began brainstorming how to keep our promise to holders, and almost immediately, there were talks of lessons learned from the events of the day. With a date set for a scheduled voice chat, the deadline for responding to the community’s concerns was established. The team was determined to face the challenge head on.

In a series of questions around moving forward. The team saw the newfound problem as an opportunity to make changes to the project that was restricted by the renounced contract, burned liquidity, and zero tax model.

Migrating to Arbitrum

After a lengthy discussion and a look at several chain options, the team decided that migrating to Arbitrum was best for the future of Zeleboba. This move takes the token off Binance that, while popular, carries a negative perception for investors. Ethereum was also heavily favored, however, the current fees make it a challenge to implement some of the plans for the project. With Ethereum, staking and airdrop benefits would be diminished due to fees. In Arbitrum, Zeleboba gets a faster and less expensive L2 Ethereum blockchain. The Zeleboba core team is extremely excited for the opportunity to establish Zeleboba on a rapidly growing chain.

Steps to Migration

The team took a snapshot of current wallets. Buys as of 5:00 PM EST on August 14, 2023 will not be honored. Current Zeleboba token holders will need to send all their tokens to the team wallet by 5:00 PM EST August 21, 2023. Staked tokens must be unstaked and sent to the team wallet as well.

Once the new contract is live, wallets will be airdropped the equivalent amount of the new ARB Zeleboba token.

The new contract will have a small buy and sell tax. The tax structure will allow the team to properly market Zeleboba and support liquidity and other development moving forward. The new tax will also deter bot activity that plagued previous buys. The contract will also have added layers of assurance, including multisig features to ensure unified team decisions.

What Will Remain

Zeleboba will continue using the current Zeleboba website and social channels. The team remains committed to delivering the ZeleTools suite, but the current roadmap may be adjusted slightly.

FAQs

If the liquidity was burned, where will the new liquidity come from?

The team will sell all tokens received against the current contract. We are also prepared to personally add liquidity to the new contract.

Was my staked wallet captured in the snapshot?

Wallets that are 100% staked were not captured, however, the team can examine transactions in and out of the staking contract to prepare airdrops if the tokens are unstaked and sent by the deadline.

Will the 1% unstaking fee be reimbursed on the airdrop?

This is something we can account for with time. We will need to carefully examine the staking contract to remedy this.

What happens if I don’t send my tokens?

Unsent tokens will not receive an airdrop. Since the contract is renounced, we cannot halt buys and sells, but you will be essentially holding a dead token.

I don’t know anything about Arbitrum. Why did you choose this chain?

It takes us away from the woes of Binance and protects us from any lawsuits that Binance may face. We will be on a faster L2 Ethereum chain with lower fees. Arbitrum is rapidly gaining popularity. We get to be an early adopter of sorts as this network grows. On Binance we are competing with tons of projects that investors have lost the appetite for. Ethereum fees are just a bit too expensive to make our tools and ecosystem worthwhile.

What will the new taxes be?

The team has decided to withhold tax specifics for now, but the highest tax on any transaction will be no more than 5%. The new tax structure will be minimal as to not discourage buys and sells.
