In terms of my choice of beverage, it was a light night for me. I had a wedding to attend out-of-state, so I took it easy knowing that there’d be plenty of celebrating when my friends and I linked up at the wedding. Looking back, I made the right choice. My bourbon stash is in sight as a write this recap, but this past weekend’s celebration’s make any thoughts of alcohol unappealing at the moment.
First Up
After a few ramblings from Nick and I, our session kicked off with Pat, the brains behind Kreepy Kritters – an NFT project on BSC. Generally the phrases NFTs and Binance SmartChain spell doom. Not many NFT projects are able to navigate BSC successfully, and personally, I held a bit of skepticism. Kreepy Kritters is different; like “Damn! This is smart and pretty freakin’ awesome!” different. The first thing that stood out was Pat’s past experiences with major NFT projects, both from the community and support side. The project’s mechanics, like their treasury, the frequent burns, holder access to airdrops, and numerous others make Kreepy Kritters interesting. Oh yeah…the art is exceptional as well.
It was obvious to listeners that Kreepy Kritters was created with a huge amount of forethought. For example, when speaking of BSC, Pat expressed that Binance is truly deflationary, has low gas fees, and has been more resilient in this bear market than others.
(Applause emojis)
Goodbye doom.
Kreepy Kritters has a very active and supportive Telegram and Twitter community. Sadly, I caught the project after the 5,900 Kritters were already minted out at what was a very low original mint fee (roughly 0.12 BNB). I purchased my first Kritter from its owner on Rareboard after the Sip And Shill session…so joining the space does make a difference. I am now two Kritters in, with plans to get more.

The Kreepy Kritter floor price continues to increase, but that doesn’t happen by accident. Over 57% of the collection has been burned and more burns are on the way. This largely happens through the use of a treasury that collects royalty fees. Over time, only the most desired Kritters will survive the Reaper, and the remaining diehard holders will get a chance to takeover the treasury. There are more immediate incentives for holding Kritters – most of this comes by way of airdrops.
There are a number of collecting strategies – costumes, skins, backgrounds, etc. Holders who are purposeful and strategic can earn their way up the leaderboard. This accomplishment comes with even more perks. I haven’t determined how I’ll approach building my Kritter collection, but I do know that, with time, it’ll get more costly. The burns and the rising floor price make holding onto these Kritters very attractive.

The founders of Crypto Dungeon are serious about providing players with a true Dungeons & Dragons-like gaming experience by way of the Cosmos ecosystem. Lee, one of the founders and main voice of Crypto Dungeon, was next to share. I spent some time in one of his previous spaces learning about the project, and I was intrigued enough to want to know more.
Honestly, it wasn’t the gaming aspect that first peaked my interest. It was Lee’s enthusiasm and commitment to Cosmos that sold me. He and his team run one of 180 Cosmos validators, and it is this endeavor that funds much of the development of the Crypto Dungeon game. So, the team’s focus isn’t tied to generating profits from the game, but rather making sure the gameplay is true to its D & D roots. Part of this commitment to the game included hiring a full-time Dungeon Master, who Lee says they are extremely lucky to have onboard. Players can also look forward to an upcoming hand drawn NFT character set, featuring ten races of playable game characters. These NFTs will mint on Stargaze, and those who are staked with Crypto Dungeon have a chance to earn a whitelist mint spot. Specific details about NFTs, including artwork samples, and game-related information can be found on their Discord. I recommend following their Twitter account as well.
Crypto Dungeon is scheduled to be open for gameplay by the end of 2023. The team is sponsoring NFT Nashville on November 4, 2023, where more details will be rolled out. Based on a quick search, it appears that tickets are not yet available for the Nashville event. I’ll be keeping an eye on this project. In the meantime, I plan on taking a look at Cosmos, Juno, and Stargaze. Who knows…this bourbon lover might wander off to Nashville for the NFT conference…a business expense if the IRS asks.
