$SDX: Hunger Satisfied

People are quick to call crypto the “Wild West”, and in many cases, it is. Scams are abundant, and people “invest” or more like gamble on a whim with expectations of catching a moonshot. I’ve been lucky to find a few projects that have solid development teams who are making strategic long-term moves. Steakd is one of them.

I first took a look at Steakd in July 2023 when I did a post titled, Steakd – Big Ambitions in a Big Space. That was around the time I first learned of $SDX, and I was impressed enough to dig deeper and write. Guess what? I’m still impressed.

Steakd Is Rare

Yes, the title is “punny” on purpose, and sort of like a double entendre. Look at me flexin’ my English skills. On a serious note, Steakd is a rare combination of smart crypto and smart business planning. When I last looked at Steakd, they’d just revealed the logo and concept behind their OrderUp mobile food service app. Back then, Steakd had around 800 holders, a $2.5 million market cap, and close to $163,000 in liquidity. Today, after a brief period of retracement, $SDX has more than 2,100 holders, a $10.5 million market cap, and over $458,000 in liquidity. In other words, there’s no stagnancy with Steakd. They are progressing forward with their business plan and drawing the attention of serious crypto enthusiasts, of which I am one.

OrderUp is coming, and based on the weekly “Last Call” X spaces held with the Steakd leadership and community, delivery will be soon. Let me unpack that, “soon” comment. If you’ve been in the space for a few years, you start to understand that projects can be loose with deadlines. “Imminent” doesn’t always mean right away, and “this quarter” can turn into this quarter century. OrderUp’s user interface is already in the testing and feedback phase, and as with any app worth its salt, testing and feedback is constant. Planning for client onboarding is already underway. The team is also keen on making sure that they take care of any regulatory hurdles as well. Steakd is a business. They are in no rush. They understand that OrderUp has to be “well done”. (Cue the laugh track)

An Acquired Taste

I don’t want to paint a pie in the sky image of Steakd, but the team and their way of work is seriously impressive. However, in mid to late fall they did make a move that I questioned. They revealed plans to connect with a few well-known developers, building on Steakd’s success and business acumen, to create a token called Acquire. I can’t go into all the details of the connection, partnership, merger, or whatever it was termed at the time, but I remember not being a fan of the move. I didn’t want Steakd’s attention to be diverted elsewhere, and I couldn’t see how the Acquire concept would benefit Steakd in the near term. When I received a DM from a fellow crypto enthusiast asking my thoughts on the new token, I remember telling him that my plan was to stay clear of Acquire and just purchase more $SDX tokens. It’s not that Acquire was a bad idea. It was just a concept that I wasn’t fully comfortable with at the time. To be clear, Steakd has always made it known that they have ambitions beyond food service. Acquire was to be an early move in that direction.

Let’s fast forward a bit. The Acquire concept did not yield the early results Steakd hoped for. Perhaps it was a concept well-ahead of its time or market conditions just didn’t allow Acquire to gain the footing necessary for success. Either way, Acquire is no more. Steakd acquired Acquire, its liquidity, and its holders, who got a fair exchange of $SDX tokens for their Acquire tokens. With this move, Steakd crossed the 2,000 holders mark and gained new community members.

Serving Up Side Dishes

Steakd has a lot on the menu. Right now, one of my favorite things to do is visit the steakd.com website, hop over to the dashboard and input scenarios into the rewards calculator. There, holders can get of glimpse of what the revenue sharing model will look like when Steakd hits certain $SDX trading and OrderUp client milestones. If only I had half a billion $SDX tokens. If you’re reading this, I will gladly take $SDX donations for my content. (*wink*)

If you’re into merch, Steakd has a full merchandise line available, including exclusive IncrediBulls offerings. Staking is still available, and the added staking boosts for OG IncrediBulls holders is still active as well. Best of all, the Steakd community is super active in discord. Those with questions can easily get them answered there, where there are an abundance of $SDX resources and just general good community vibes. Bon appetit!
