Coming Out Swingin’

Lessons were learned from this past weekend’s disruption to the project. As the saying goes, “When change is necessary, not to change becomes destructive.” Change was necessary, and there is no destroying the Zeleboba team’s mission to provide a safe and fun community for crypto degens and enthusiasts.

Beyond the move from Binance to Arbitrum, there are some notable changes the Zeleboba core team are putting in place. These practices and features are designed to help sustain the project and provide assurances for holders. I’m going to use this space to share some of those changes and the rationale behind the team’s decisions.

Contract

Unlike the BSC Zeleboba contract, the team will not be renouncing ownership of the Arbitrum contract. Many people see renouncing ownership as a positive, and it can be. On a new and unfamiliar chain, the team believes that it is necessary to retain contract ownership to allow flexibility. What types of flexibility might a team need? For one, adjusting the tax structure. The BSC contract used the popular zero tax rate on buys and sells. Without revenue and a huge marketing budget, it is challenging for a zero tax token to gain momentum. Additionally, zero tax tokens invite bot activity that allows sandwiched buys and sells to front run legitimate buyers, making them overpay for tokens. The first twenty-four hours of launch will have a tax rate designed to encourage buys and discourage swing trading. Twenty-four hours after launch, the team will set the official tax rate at 3% for buys and 5% for sells.

Locked and Loaded

This time around liquidity will not be burned. Liquidity from the sell of BSC tokens will be used to establish the Arbitrum pool and locked. You read it correctly! Initial liquidity will be locked for a period of six months. Additionally, project wallets will be multi-sig wallets, requiring more than one team member to authorize transactions. In other words, no one person can singlehandedly execute or approve transactions on the team’s behalf. Lastly, the team will be vesting their share of tokens for a period of six months.

Show Me The Money

The new tax structure is not the only planned source of revenue for Zeleboba. Taxes will help fund marketing, liquidity and affiliate rewards, but a portion will also fund existing and future products called ZeleTools. The first such product is the ZeleFX bot, a Forex trading profit generator that is already bringing in revenue. A percentage of tax collected from transactions will fuel the bot, thus increasing its buying power and improving potential profitability. There are more ZeleTools concepts in the works that, with revenue, will be going live in the near future.

What to Expect

Due to the migration and airdrop, it can be expected that some holders will be unaware of the launch. Holder numbers on the Arbitrum network could be slightly lower than the former BSC token, but this won’t always be the case. The team plans to start with an initial market cap of around $50,000 and grow from there. As the project grows, there will be holders who sell for profit, especially those who are still cautious from the events that took place on the BSC side. The new tax structure ensures that a portion of these sells return to the project. Personally, I fully intend to add more tokens on launch day.

Anticipated FAQs

What will happen to the 1% unstaking fee? (%1’lik staking ücretine ne olacak?)

By design, the 1% fee would have gone to the project for marketing and development anyway. The team will not be reimbursing holders who unstaked for the migration.

No project is 100% free of bad actors. We put safety measures in place. Liquidity is locked, team tokens are vested for a minimum of six months, and our project wallets have multi-sig requirements for transactions.
